I sympathize with men a lot when it comes to fashion. Let's face it, there are a relatively limited number of basic silhouettes and items that you have to play with before veering into the laughable. So I get that you are detail oriented within those parameters, a fascination that has inspired some truly great innovations in subtlety and craftsmanship. And yet! So many men are resolutely casual, only embracing the most commonly acceptable form of flair/personality allowed in the average man's wardrobe, the tie, under pressure. I don't get it. What I do get, though, are lots of tie options for the holiday par-tay season, which is just about to be on. Everything—everything, even puking in the gutter—looks better when one is wearing a tie. Think about it.
