Over the past few years, sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo have changed the landscape for independent creatives hoping to launch their latest proejcts. From documentary films to tech gadgets, these sites are able to support new businesses through crowd funding. Not to be left out of the fun, apparel designers are getting in on the game as well.

  • WILD

Local Portland brand, WILD Outdoor Apparel, is using Crowd Supply as a platform to offer their limited-edition Burnside Alpha Jacket. You can pre-order your favorite color, and if the project reaches its goal the jackets will get produced. Not only does this seem more economical for a small apparel business, but you get the benefit of owning a cool jacket that you won't see on every Joe Shmoe.

The Burnside Alpha Jacket is designed, developed, and manufactured in Oregon. With rugged work-inspired design, the jacket uses a technical water proof/breathable twill (or denim depending on the style you pick), and is lined with Thermotech flannel and Polartec Alpha insulation. It's a go-to jacket for all conditions, from the mountains to the bars.

WILD's campaign runs through April 7th. You can get all the info and sizing details about the Burnside Alpha jacket on their Crowd Supply landing page.
