Everyone should know this band. Deepest funk around with poppin horn lines and mostly originals with a few covers that have been "brotherized" NOT TO MISS!!!!!

The Heavy Brothers are bad ass! I had some buddy's up from San Francisco and we caught them at the MT Tabor Theater. We were going to the Space Room to drink but then heard the music across the street and my Buddy's were like "What F$&k is that?" " I have never heard music like this played in Portland!" Usually you have to go to the Bay area or LA, NO, Atl, NYC, to see original music like this. My buddies were pissed that I had wasted their time the night before when we went to the Doug Fir to see the usual fare. Not only did we have a great time dancing but we met some nice Hotties and the night got even better! Thanks Kiryn!!! Don't know when the Heavy Brothers are playing again but when I find out I will be there! See there Kiryn!!!

The Heavy Brothers ARE Portland's best band that no one has heard of! I used to watch them play all over the NW back in the 90's. It's sweet that they have come back!! More people have to know about this band than their secret Garden Party crew!!!...c'mon the Heavy Horns are sick!!! Their Time is the Reason video on the heavybrotherspdx youtube channel is slammin!
