“We Would Have Been Shot,” A Don’t Shoot Portland Organizer Says

RIght......because a bunch of hicks setting up camp at a building out in the middle of nowhere is the same thing as occupying city hall when the mayor and other employees are present, and disrupting a city meeting. I.e., if the bundy group would have done that, they also would have been kicked out as well. Also, if the black lives matter group took some wildlife refuge out in the middle of nowhere when nobody was around (no hostages, etc.) and they were armed, the government would have treated it the same way. They were simply doing everything possible to prevent another Ruby Ridge, and that approach was the right thing to do....although they should have cut off the internet, electricity, mail service, etc. immediately and smoked those rednecks out.

JTR, the refuge wasn't empty. The occupation displaced federal employees and destroyed federal land. They disrupted federal projects and cost us millions of dollars. It's not as if they strolled into an empty campground for a month and refused to leave. They actively fought off others trying to access the reserve.

Have you even been following the news of these two groups? Because you don't seem to know what's been going on at all.

Let me give you some comparisons:
---
White cop to black motorist: let me see your license.
[Black motorist reaches for license]
[White cop shoots black motorist.]
---
White federal agent to white armed terrorist: You need to cease this activity and disperse.
White armed terrorist to federal agent: No
[federal agent leaves]
---

Please wait...
