City Council Wants You to Shut Up!

This isn't really an article, it's an opinion piece. There needs to be some sort of better law that allows residents to file complaints about noise that will actually accomplish something. Boo fucking hoo if your precious indie music clubs have to tone it down after 11 pm. Other people actually have to work during the day, you whiny cry-baby.

I agree with dadolwch- it all comes down to concern for fellow humans, anybody with a whit of common sense would agree that punk music or any music that is played so loud that people can't sleep or even think has to be toned down, if you can't deal with this go out into the dessert and make all the noise you want.

I wonder if the animals at the zoo enjoy the concerts there?

If you choose to live in or near a commercial area, you should be willing to except the fact that some noise may occur after ten p.m. It should not be the job of any business owner whose bread and butter and JOB depend on operating during these "late night" hours to have to tone it down. It is the duty of the citizens willfully living near by such establishments to either join the party, take an ambian, or invest in some ear plugs. Period. If you are a home owner and have owned the property previous to a new business opening nearby your home, you should have either taken action to prevent certain types of new businesses from opening in your area, or realized the area in which you chose to purchase your home had potential for eventually being near a commercial zone. Also, you live in A FUCKING CITY. If you don't enjoy it, please feel free to relocate elsewhere.

Please wait...
