Cops' Racial Profiling Committee Grinds to a Halt. Now What?

The mayor and the council are a bunch of fucking cowards. However, the people of this city have no idea what is going on in the City and probably deserve what they get.
2
Frank conversations about race and class with people who are elected and appointed are best held in public.

Score another win for Chief Sizer.

Now that Chief Sizer & her merry band of piggies have swept the concerns of racist targeting under the citys' rug, & behind closed doors, there's no telling what they have in store for us yet.

Spend more money, that always fixes the problem. I would suggest reading the whole study mentioned, it is often cited piece meal. A more important issue at hand is size and power. The Portland police receives funds from the feds and they like other pus bubbles on the back of our city are more bureaucratic in nature then civil. We need NO more focus groups, stop wasting my money. Two things we could use though are, a smaller police force (if you think size of force is going to decrease crime let me suggest Adam Smith), and a requirement for every civil servant entering the force to memorize at least the first chunk of our Constitution (you know given the whole oath thing). A secure citizenry is a well read and armed citizenry (repeat after me, no you may not search my vehicle). Peace.

The PPB's affection and protection for their obvious problem with RACIST COPS has been going on a long time and I do not believe they have ever actually offered transparency and honesty about the issue at all, ever. They like to keep their skeletons in the closet, but until they face the issue(maybe a 12 step program?), racial profiling and excessive violence and death will continue to plague their already shitty image.

Please wait...
