I like this but I wish it had more pictures/map graphics.
I have a velvet painting by carl baldwin of an indian...it is 24" x 40"...wondering if you know the value?
We should also strive to celebrate the iconic meth community of Portland as well, perhaps with a $5k-$20k grant to build an oversized bathtub in Pioneer Square.
I know times are tough and we're laying off street repair crews, but without the economic contributions of this stalwart-albeit-dentally-challenged crew, where would we be able to get a Jumbo Jack at 3:30 in the morning?
Fantastic! I'm so proud of you. And making a name for yourself on your own! You must be so very happy and estactic!

Correction: Appendix Space started in July of 2008, not 2007. Also, apologies to Zack Davis, I misspelled his name in this article-- it's spelled with a "ck," not a "ch." Sorry to all for the bad info!
Is this some kind of joke? A critique of John Motley's article:

It might also be worth noting however, that the composition of "Skull with Cigarette" is directly lifted from a Van Gogh painting from 1886.

I am looking for a location to do a photo shoot with some graffiti art. I went to inner SE as this article suggests, and could find none! Can someone suggest a location somewhere in Portland? email info@stillpending.com. Thanks
This event has ended. No longer at PNCA
Bloody Hell, I love it!!!! I've not seen such a splash of mujlti-colors since I dropped 'A' in High school. She obviously births a maelstrom of whirling chaos and beauty from deep in the caverns of a 'Disneyland' ride mind. One must feel the 'Glinkinstadt' in the pit of their groin viewing her work. I am attracted yet repelled but I hunger for more.

I have a velvet painting of Jesus careing the cross.I would like to know if it can be repaired.
The difference between art and advertising?
Advertising represents an idolized, fictional account of reality that fits into the stereotypical opinions of the targeted demograph while at the same time enforcing materialistic connections to self-worth to push its product.
Art reflects the feelings created by the Artist's interpretation of reality. In this sense, Artists act as realistic, undistorted glimpses into the true realities of society, culture, and personal interactions, in that they are a true reaction.
so yeah fuck this guy, trying to defend your own failure as an artist with pseudo philosophy? what a dipshit. read a real fucking book, don't listen to this blowjob.

Re: “The Illicit Art of the Mural”
I own the Belmont Garage and Paige Prendergast of Breeze Block Gallery has never curated any of the murals. My friend Ashley Montague is the curator and has been for the last 9+ years. Where did you get your information?
