Recently visited with some friends who heard good things and wanted to try it out. I ordered the JUMBO halibut fish and chips and expected a very large basket of large, tender, flakey, white fish; what I got was 5 MARSHMALLOW SIZED pieces of thinly battered, overcooked, tough, and chewy white fish. Worst halibut I have ever had and at over $20 I expected much much more. They rave about their fries too and McDonalds has better fries than the Corbett Fish House. Needless to say my wife and friends were very disappointed and we will never be back. Many other better choices in Portland.
The staff has always been super nice, and the food is TASTY. Love that I got stuck in the snow once & had to bunker down here for a few hours.
Crazy huge portions, crazy cheap prices. For $10, I had a pile of juicy pulled pork the size of my head, covered in (my choice of) sweet/spicy bbq sauce. On the side, I chose mac n cheese (OM!) and mashed potatoes with cajun gravy. Cornbread also comes with this. My friend had the fried Okra and it was great. Needed a big box for this one!
Cash only- same with Los Gorditos next door (It's 2011).
With as big of a patio they have, you would think they would have at least a section for smoking.
....But I put up it because the beer selection is awesome and there are tasty tacos next door.
I am sorry to hear Dorris had such a bad time....It's a fun bar, with great bartenders and fun people. The pool is cheap, Oregon Lottery is hoppin, and we are FUN!! There is parking in the back of the lot--so come in for some cheap eats and cold beer!! Dorris--come back so we can make your experience THE BEST EVER!!
I have been in Circa a handful of times and is a great place to bring a date. The outside patio is pretty cool and they usually have some good beers on tap.
Delicious beer, yummy pretzels, ecofriendly. The only thing that could improve is to not have to look at the stripper-wanna-be bartender's buttcrack. And the noise level is a bit high. Great patio out back and extremely friendly service. Will definately be back!
queens of the stone age only played one hour and half come on boys i know the tickets were cheap but come on...2hours is just about right..... and the Roseland looks nice and all but they need a better sound system come on ..
The ceiling is unbelievable, the music is great, the goth bartenders are sexy. I really like Love craft.
I have been frequenting the Bear Paw for years, at first before or after a show next door; and a little more often since I moved to the neighborhood six years ago. I've played trivia, sang karaoke and attended other events here, always having a great time. Food is admittedly greasy, but the fish and chips are surprisingly good. I'm always greeted with smiles from staff and regulars.
Food was good, nothin to write home about. The service is one of the worst. Ordered meatloaf, was okay, I didn't like it-not what I expected. Took 2 bites and asked to exchange it for a burger (which I know are delicious). Waitress was rude in saying nothin was wrong with it, she could box it up for someone else in my party (there were 10 of us celebrating a birthday) and that I would still be charged for it. I asked to speak with the manager. He came out and was extremely rude stating, among other random stuff, that it was an $11 meal and that he would not take it off the bill He finally did remove it after other people in my party spoke up. There was no apology about my dissatisfaction or his rude demeanor. Neither I, the other 9 people I was with, nor any other of my friends or family will be dining there again.
A great pit stop for wine, cheese, and food for your bike picnic in Vancouver or along the Columbia River (picnic baskets also available). It is a quick 12 minute bike ride from the Expo MAX Station (trail most of the way) or jump on the CTRAN 105 Express Bus (for a 15 minute ride from the bus mall). Come by bike or bus during Car Free Fridays and get a chance at a prize (I won a t-shirt!).
I have been coming to Produce Row since the early 70's. it was a GREAT Place THEN. Sorry but no more. In the early days the sandwiches came as small, medium and large. Most days all I could eat was a medium. It was chock full of ingredients, tasty, very juicy and a bit slopy to eat....have plenty of napkins. The beers was an incredible selection from around the world. In the past few years the beer list has dwindled and the sandwich no longer has sizes. It came as what had been the small and the ingredients were skimpy.Still tasty. I took a group of friends who came from out of town and we headed to Produce on our recommendation. The decor has drastically changed from a working class establishment to a now Yuppie place. These places have their place, just not here. Gone are the sandwiches I have loved for around 40 years....gone are most of the beers and the artmosphere has changed as well. I am now in mourning for the loss of a friend and companion in my journey through life. I would start a boycott of the restaurant, but I don't think they'd get it.
Still got great service during a packed house on a Saturday night. Unfortunately they do not take reservations and I had to wait an hour to get in, but they do give you a pager, which gave me and my lady a great opportunity to enjoy a walk along the river. The view here is truly fantastic!
My food, the blue cheese burger, was great, though it was served warm instead of hot. I'm sure it was on the plate a couple minutes waiting for the server, as they were super busy. My lady's food, a pulled pork BBQ sandwich, was not special, but not horrible. Side salad was good, with dressing served on the side without request. Tots were great though the portion was a little small. The house beer I consumed known as Ruby Ale is awesome.
Decor is top notch. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. Every McMenamin's I've been to has been very good and this was no exception. Aside from the 2nd rate BBQ sandwich, I was very happy with my selection, my drink, my server and the location itself. I would absolutely recommend this place.
My little sister works here, and she is AWESOME.
wow! I headed up there to have a burger last monday. An artist named Aux.78 blew me away. he performs for only a handful of people every monday night. this has to be one of Portland's more original and creative musicians. the Red Room has him. I don't know how that managed that, but they did. great place to chill. the guy played music to the basketball game we were watching. talented dude.
Great day. We had so much fun at the deck today. We took my mom for Mother's Day. They had heaters and made my mom feel so special. It was great for the whole family. We were glad that we could make reservations! Great fish tacos and ribs today!! We can't wait for SUN!!
I retract my review from a few years back...the Tilly is dead.
The food, service and music all suck. Clueless new owners.
Too bad, back in the day, this used to be the Hot spot on the westside, now it's just a spot.
