Re: “Artichoke Music

If you want a taste of what community music is all about, THIS is the place! Warm, friendly. People come hear to sing their songs, and people come hear to listen. Check out Thursday nights especially (Friday and Saturday performances too). On Thursdays, bring you instrument. Or just your ears and heart.

Re: “Caps and Corks

This is my favorite bar in the nw. They have so many beers. A full bar and lots of wines by the glass. The beers are always changing, 3 or 4 new taps a week. The staff is wonderful, knowledgeable and super friendly. its a place you have to check out!

Re: “Art Heads Custom Framing

I Love this place! It's low stress, non-pushy, down to earth sales people who will take all day with you if you need them to. Everything I've had framed there turns my friends heads when they come over. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Re: “Retread Threads

I lived in Portland in the early 90s when this store opened. I got the best leather jacket of my life. Picture a plum colored 70s coat worthy of Al Pacino. I still have it and it still looks great!

Re: “All Service/K M A Musical Electronics Repair

This place is awesome! I brought in my favorite receiver, a 40 year old Sansui 881, with two specific issues. A loud hum when turned on and the left channel was burned out. I called around before dropping in here and found super long waits at other repair places. Fred's Sound of Music was backed up 6 to 8 weeks and required a higher deposit ($90, WTF!). I was looking to use this receiver in less than 2 weeks and that's exactly what I got from these guys. Fast turn around, good solid work, and I got my tunes back just in time.

Re: “Wood Pro Beauty Center

HORRIBLE service!!! NO STARS!! Had my haircut in the back of the store by Ginger w/ "Devil's Haircuts" she was TOTALLY unprofessional and SCREWED up my hair! How hard is it to add layers? Really? If I wanted a mullet I would have done it myself! She had a terrible attitude and smelled like she hadn't bathed in weeks. NOT someone I would recommend to my worst enemy! I NEVER complain about a haircut no matter how bad it is but she really pissed me off! My friends go to Wood Pro for their hair styles and thanks to Ginger they've LOST customers.
