Didn't you guys already do this? http://blogtown.portlandmercury.com/BlogtownPDX/archives/2014/05/23/from-russia-and-beyond-with-love
For what it's worth, "DaNet" does literally translate to "YesNo." However, when said together in Russian, they are an expression meaning "Of course not."
Also, David, your rendering "Nyet" is closer to how the Russian is pronounced than "Net." It's just a different choice in transliteration.
Очень рада, что наконец-то можно поесть чего-то вкусного и русского! Спасибо всем кухонным талантам!
And all this time, I thought no in rooski was "Nyet". Learn something new everyday!! Thanks, Mercury Minions!
Freehouse carries the OP dog as well. So good, DAWG!
Ottos and Sheridan..... straight up
As much as I love all the places on this list. Sheridan's and fried onion I'm in love in industrial S.E. are the best dogs in Portland. You just have to get there early.

My name is Lisa and I am a hotdog-aholic. Michael's is my fave. http://michaelsitalianbeef.com/
Nick's Coney is a strange one to throw in there. It's all about the toppings, not so much the dog. The chili and what I have to imagine is Whiz make or break the damn thing, and you almost don't notice the hot dog or bun.
I also think they might have poisoned me last time I ate there, but that's of no concern for our conversation here today.
Who says Chicago dogs have cucumber on them? They definitely don't.
Exactly. I'm so done with carts. Sure, they're fine when you're in a hurry. But they were just another Portlandia (TM) trend, like beards, ukeleles and vintage eyewear.
Fuckall that Yuppie 4.0 shyhte.
I started to read this review and thought this was a real restaurant and then it starts talking about food carts? Like a roach coach? Is this a joke?
A friend and I were looking for a place in Sellwood and settled on Reverends. I ended up enjoying my meal despite a lot of the criticism around this place. While the ribs could be better, the Reverend burger and fried chicken were great. They definitely have areas where they can improve, but I'll definitely be going back.
won't be checking out this joint. thanks for the warning. i was relatively excited. but this sounds like a bbq flop.
