Re: “Pickathon: Keep It Clean

Marjorie, This is Joe from Doe Bay. Thanks for the positive comment. In fairness to all of us who do this as a hobby or for money, putting on a fest is harder than it looks. (it's easier as a hobby.) That said, I agree. Doe Bay tickets are crazy scarce but there are almost always fluke tickets available and that is the case right now, including a couple yurts that I just finished building yesterday. So if anyone wants to come, they probably can. Doe Bay dot com online store is the place to go.

I guess I could never see past his horrible horrible dreadlocks.

Re: “Adam Duritz vs. Billy Corgan: Which ’90s Alt-Rock Superstar Had the Better Magazine Cover?

Are you fucking kidding me?! This is a question?! That Billy Corgan cover ought to win a motherfucking Pulitzer. Pue-Lit-Zerrrrrrr, gawdamnit. I mean, if they give ought Pulitzers for pictures. They shouldn't, it's not art. But if they do. It should go to Billy Corgan. Not even the photog, he didn't hold the cats. Definitely a he, a gal would have held the cats.

Anyway, Billy ftw.

They had two massive hits and five consecutive top-10 albums. They were most certainly superstars.

"To cry for the children on one side...."

No children on the other side have been killed.

Re: “Adam Duritz vs. Billy Corgan: Which ’90s Alt-Rock Superstar Had the Better Magazine Cover?

Was Adam Duritz ever a "superstar"? Didn't they kind of just have one song one time?

They have opposite ways of dealing with baldness.

Re: “Can't Sleep Here

“The fact is that the modern implementation of the prison planet has far surpassed even Orwell’s 1984 and the only difference between our society and those fictionalized by Huxley, Orwell and others, is that the advertising techniques used to package the propaganda are a little more sophisticated on the surface.
Yet just a quick glance behind the curtain reveals that the age old tactics of manipulation of fear and manufactured consensus are still being used to force humanity into accepting the terms of its own imprisonment and in turn policing others within the prison without bars.”

Re: “I Cry, One Way or Another

When Israel handed over Gaza to the so-called, "Palestinians," there were miles of commercial green houses which provided vegetables to market. Within the first week the new citizens demolished the glass hot houses and destroyed a thriving industry which could have provided jobs and income for a great many. Now, there are nothing but guerrilla soldiers' tunnels. It's high time that rats' nest finally got cleaned out.

Re: “LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

I wonder how many free wristbands and beer tokens Ol' Ned gets for his yearly fantastic columns on the Pickathon festival? I've been a few times and yeah its pretty fun but as my good friend said the other day 'who wants to be surrounded by people willing to pay $280 per ticket ( not including camping ).. I've found tickets to Mexico cheaper than that ( more than 9 miles from Portland )..Lewdog

Re: “Thanks For Ruining My Nightcap

I drink in peace at my house. I go to a bar to interact. I like dive bars where I don't have to clean up to feel comfortable in. DTF and how's your night going are different. If you don't want to chat, stay home.

Re: “Can't Sleep Here

Right on, Bridger!

Kelly Bader Green, if you were really sincere, you'd get your ass to Portland, even if prohibitive finances put you in the same boat with your daughter. She's an adult, and if she rejects your support, so be it. If I were you, I'd stay in Florida, and quit expecting everybody else to fulfill your imagined responsibilities.

Curious, were the 40,000 other blogs out there that are being overrun with this sort of hate just too scary create accounts for that I, Anonymous was the only one you felt safe venting yours to?
