I've noticed something when I have attended daytime parties that people bring their kids to. The kids will group up and there is always that one girl that spends most of the time with the kids, hanging out and giving a lot more hugs than a stranger should be giving kids. That sounds like the person I,A is talking about.

^ Correct. People may be assholes on the east coast, but at least they're upfront about it. None of the passive/aggressive/flakey fronts that are so common here.
East coast = honest assholes who own it

Isolation leads to backwardness, example Portland, OR. In most other places people say, "Hi, i'm a total piece of shit and how do you like that?". But here they make a huge effort to project some kind of righteous exterior, and too often still a total piece of shit.

I lived in Portland since before the City installed a sewer system that over flowed into the Willamette. Multnomah had open ditches and everybody had cesspools in their back yard that would over flow into their basements, keeping it out of the river, and THAT'S the WAY we LIKED it! The only homosexuals were the preverts who used to hang out in the men's room at Meyer and Frank, and the sub terrainian public toilet on the corner of the Pioneer Courthouse that's been boarded up for years.
