Re: “A Wilsonville Republican Has Realized Mandatory Safety Vests Are a Bad Idea

The reflective clothing idea may have been dumb, but requiring a rear red light is definitely a good idea. Kind of a no-brainer actually. When you're on a bike, a rear light is far more important than a front one, in terms of letting car drivers know that you're there. I have never understood why they aren't compulsory.

(full disclosure: I bike to work nearly every day)

Re: “The I, Anonymous Blog Quote o' the Day!

The RSS feed cut it off at "Stuck in a Mexican". I liked that version better.

Re: “Raccoons: Nature's Monsters

After being in relationship with him for 3 years,he broke up with me,
I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted
him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with
everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to
someone online and she suggested that I should rather contact a spell
caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type
that never believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I mailed the
spell caster, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be
okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he
cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex
called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that
he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted me to return
to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him, that was
how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made
promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem or child
problem I would be of
help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful
spell caster who helped me with my own problem and who is different from
all the fake ones out there. Anybody could need the help of the spell
caster, his email is you can email him if you
his assistance in your relationship or anything. he we be ready to help you.
self regard sofia.

@ PDX-girl - Petting wild animals? Please say "Hi" for me to the good folks at OHSU when you go there for your HRIG series.

They're very nice.

Re: “Portland Does Not Hate You

I can't imagine why people who pay most of the taxes would want something from the govt, although I don't have any opinion on this matter except that I despise people who constantly racialize every stinking fucking issue.

Re: “Here's Charles Bukowski's Book About Cats You Didn't Ask For

To be fair, here's the rest of that quote: "There are many ‘bads’ – bad dogs, bad censorship; there are even ‘bad’ white males. Only when you write about ‘bad’ white males they don’t complain about it. And need I say that there are ‘good’ blacks, ‘good’ homosexuals and ‘good’ women?”

Doesn't mean he wasn't a misogynist, but that's not the best example to cite. Especially taking the first sentence out of context like that.

Re: whether there will be a way for crowd-funders to actually be investors, the meta-meta-meta-podcast/business experiment Startup kinda touched on this issue when they were trying to figure out whether they could take investments from listeners.

Apparently it's not as easy as we might want it to be:…

Not sure how much of what they cover applies to films rather than corporations, though.
