Re: “Novick, Hales Scrapping "Compromise" Version of Street Fund Income Tax

Does that mean Charlie Hales is Peter Lorre?

Re: “Farewell, Cruel World, Because I Am Seeing The Interview, and Thus Shall Incur the Wrath of Kim Jong-un UPDATE: Who Knows If I'm Seeing It, Because Sony Just Canceled It

I can't believe the theaters would even consider pulling the film - here in the US.
Fucking 'Satanic Verses' all over again - except worse.
I thought rumors of this was just a way to build some talk - thus promotion - of the movie at first.
Oh geez, God Forbid we ever poke fun of Kim Jung.
Like he doesn't have it coming.

Re: “Environmental Advocates Seize on Zoning Change in Bid to Squash Propane Terminal

We, as a people, need power.
This seems to be one of the cleanest - and greenest - among the bunch.
Let's do it.

Re: “Police Watchdog Says Widespread "Belief" Cops Target Hip-Hop Shows, Black Patrons "Should Greatly Concern City Officials"

A convenience store was a target of Portland police, employing out-of-policy tactics to prohibit sales of items available in a neighboring Safeway. We know PPB is pressuring businesses owned by people of color. The Auditor and her IPRD are intellectually incurious about racial profiling. Lack of transparency or investigative zeal leaves unanswered many questions about the rollout of ID scanners, and whatever pressure PPB employed on club owners to adopt these surveillance tools later deemed to have been illegal. Funding for the scanners emanated with Lines for Life, ostensibly an anti-suicide non-profit run by former Federal Attorney for Oregon, Dwight Holden. Anti-gang funding also emanates from County Health; as the plea deal with the DoJ ramps up police involvement in assessing health care and predictive intervention on this protected class, more needs to be done to assess threats to black cultural aspirations from all reinforcers of repression. Taking a racial analysis will pay civil liberties dividends in society as a whole ... once the IPRD is replaced with a civilian-based police accountability authority with the power and intention of taking responsibility for inaction by the City's Human Rights Commission.

Re: “University of Portland Entitled Brats

Scary. Plain Scary. I would gladly tell you exactly how I feel, however, I cannot see how serious I can take myself anonymously, and in this stupid world you think gives your life value and importance. This is a joke. You are a joke. A whiny, baby of a joke.

I stopped commenting, and mostly stopped reading comments entirely because I was "sick" of being harassed by you.

You know who I'm talking to. You can have the last word. You are the bully. You initiate every fight you deserve. You are filled with hate and negativity. And you are not even funny.

Re: “On Christmas and Parking

There is unlimited space to complain on I,A, so there's no reason to charge for it.

Redden should maybe avoid using comment sections of Oregonlive stories on the protests as his primary source of... "information."

RickStevens: through the thick cloud of weed smoke I realize my response to the parking complaint ended up here somehow. I have no ragrets, and I encourage you to also check your privilege.

I will go see this in the theater, but I am not going to pay a premium price to see it on my computer, that is what bittorrent is for.

So it would be easier to complain about stuff if it weren't free to complain on I, Anonymous?
