Officer, I think I love you.

Now please come lurk around NE Glisan. I'm tired of not being able to cross.

Re: “A Cyborg Anthology Edited by a Cyborg

I subscribe to Analog magazine, which has a mix of science fiction and science fact article, and love it.

How do you read Clarkesworld? Do you have an ereader, or do you read at your computer? I read all the time, and just can't enjoy it on an ereader, yet.

Re: “This is Why I Gave You a Ticket.

Well apparently officer you need to tell your cop buddies to do the same thing as you, because as far as I can tell you're the only fucking cop in this city that bothers.

Re: “Edward Snowden Did a Live Q&A This Morning

buddyv69,
Ike actually planned to say at his farewell speech the "military–industrial–congressional complex". He feared that pissing off congress with the insult may be a risk not worth taking, so he changed it in the final draft.

The NSA can't find a Boston bomber live tweeting and can't find a 90 minute internet broadcast. How incompetent can a surveillance agency be?

Be straight here - whatever costume you were in was solely because you wanted to have a sword.

Nobody said travel was cheap. But if somebody posts saying something costs double what it really does, that calls for a correction.

Re: “Good Morning, News!

What's wrong with requiring proof of citizenship inorder to vote? Would you like it if anybody could vote in Portland elections, even if they live in Seattle, Birmingham, or Timbuktu? For people that don't have any ID...get some! Here's an excerpt from the Oregon's voters registration form....

"You must provide your valid
Oregon Driver's License,
Permit or ID number.
A suspended Driver's License is valid,
a revoked Driver's License is not valid.
-or-
If you do not have valid Oregon ID,
provide the last four digits of your
Social Security number.
-or-
If you do not have a Social Security
number or valid Oregon identification,
provide a copy of one of the following
that shows your name and current
address:
acceptable identification:
g valid photo identification
g a paycheck stub
g a utility bill
g a bank statement
g a government document
g proof of eligibility under the
Uniformed and Overseas
Citizens Absentee Voting
Act (UOCAVA) or the Voting
Accessibility for the Elderly
and Handicapped Act (VAEH)"

If you don't have any of those you're clearly living off the grid and don't give a rat's ass about who wins the election. It's not rocket science. People are somehow able to apply for foodstamps and unemployment but they can't register to vote, BS! Remember, eveytime a non-citizen is able to vote the power of your vote becomes diluted. If you are interested in gaining votes for a certain political party try focusing on the nonparticipating 50% or so of Americans that are drugged out on TV and what not. Vote for a third party so we can get rid of these corrupt big business cronies and welfare slave driving taxspenders.

the last one of these i did i puked all over the bus. some old lady sitting across from me got up and tried to hand me some towels but she slipped when the driver hit the brakes. her ass landed right in the puke in the aisle. cabernet sauvignon, vienna sauges, and curded cheese all over her white dress. some people on board laughed, others looked at me with scorn like it was my fault i was drunk and car sick. i just asked to get off and ran away.

Re: “Edward Snowden Did a Live Q&A This Morning

Swonden is a rebel against a corrupt political system and military industrial complex- not a traitor. he told the american people that the gov't was secretly listenly to them, warrantless, taking away any right to privacy. if he had sold nuclear weapons info to the n. koreans- different story. N. korean is an old admitted enemy of the state, support that regime and you should get what's coming. but i thouhght Obama wanted more transparency. now there are even more secret programs that are supposedly being used to hunt down potential terrorists. Maybe if America actually had border security, including better background checks for guest workers flying into its many airports, we wouldn't have aspiring foreign terrorists here in the first place. Divert the funds from these orwellian gov't agencies to programs that will keep track of immigrants and visitors alike. Make them go through a full security clearance and if any red flags pop up turn them away. American citizens should not be the ones being put under a microscope. Thank you Mr Snowden.
