As the name more than implies, their specialty is Taiwanese-style hot pot (or flaming wok) cooking. Choose a broth and some ingredients from their selection of raw meats, tofu, veggies, and more, then cook it up yourself in your very own hot pot.

Hot Pot City is for days when there's no rush and you want to enjoy something entirely casual, yet more elaborate than usual. The staff is always very nice and the lunch pricing is especially good ($7.95 all you can eat). There are several vegetarian broths and a good deal of vegetarian ingredients and condiments available to put in your soup. It takes time to eat at H.P.C. but it's well worth it.
Hot Pot City is a totally adequate restaurant, but if you are white, you are likely to get called "gwai lo" about a hundred times. In addition to the ethnic slurs, service was horrible. Food was okay, the meat is pretty obviously substandard, but the sauces are pretty good.
