Rockin’ downtown music venue with an eclectic clientele (read: bike messengers). Great place for people watching. The Ash Street serves a mean drink but deep fried appetizers, burgers, and sandwiches will soak up that booze for you.
Another hip place to go on Alberta? Say it ain't so. Oh it is so so. The Bye and Bye is a large happenin' place with lots of different rooms and sick (that means cool) art. The relatively small menu is 100% vegan with some good choices ranging from the healthy (the Georgia Bowl, marinated southern-style tofu served over brown rice with a side of seasonal greens) to the indulgent (BBQ veggie chicken, black-eyed peas and seasonal greens). The great big back patio is great for cooperative weather and smoking breaks.
All your favorite arcade games from yesteryear to recent. From Burgertime, to Street Fighter 2, to Dance Dance Revolution. The only thing that can overpower the cacophony of all those bells, bleeps and bloops? Live DJ music dude!
