As in: If you're not "in the know," you're not there. Indie art gallery, live music venue, and screening room. They serve bottled beer only but that doesn't deter young hipsters "in the know" from packing the joint.
The interior of this hip downtown bar was originally built very close to the shape of a tube, but got popular and has since expanded. It still possesses a modern design, with quality cocktails and mega hot djs many nights during the week. The menu has an excellent array of vegetarian/vegan bites.
Alberta's only Irish bar, with a cozy interior and a weatherproofed back patio for those of us who indulge in the occasional cigarette. The food is savory and a godsend if you're hungry late (full menu 'til 11 pm, bar menu after). Irish beer buffs, this is your spot, with Guinness and Harp on tap. Plus live acoustic music nightly, which mostly runs in the folk, bluegrass, and (of course) Irish vein.
