With a ton of beers on tap, more in the bottle, a full bar, three pool tables, Foosball, video games, darts, live music, and not one but two dance floors, where else would you go to get your Irish on?
Slick live music venue decked out in red and black featuring national and local acts as well as Sunday's Sinferno Cabaret with it's sexy, erotic performers. There are three full-service bars because they know you're thirsty and they serve pizza and pastas because they know you'll get hungry.
Don't be fooled by the obnoxiously purple building, inside this gentleman's club is comfortable and loungey. Some basic sandwich and burger and brunch style bar food is available to compliment your cocktail. There are a couple of pool tables, amazingly cheap drink specials and oh yes, the ladies!
Pretty much your basic old-school bar with restaurant attached. The restaurant serves breakfast all day along with burgers and the usual artery-clogging fried stuff. The bar has pool tables, juke box, darts etc. It's smoky, grungy and they serve insanely strong drinks. The crowd sometimes leans to the meat-markety types but gets some variety being in the upper Hawthorne 'hood and all.
A standout in an area of downtown where you can literally stumble out of one bar, directly into another. Dimly lit, loungey and uber-hip, without being pretentious. XV specializes in quality cocktails and tasty chow. Djs do their stuff almost every night so that you may get your groove on.
The Yamhill serves more Pabst than any other bar in Portland and that’s not an easy thing to do. One of the diveyest bars in town, it’s a popular hangout for workin’ guys, punks and bike messengers. Nice bartenders serve up some cheap drinks but don’t cross ‘em! The kitchen is apparently in a constant state of being “remodeled”, so don't expect much to eat.
