This happenin' little coffee shop has more than just hot mugs of Stumptown coffee. They offer a soup and sandwich menu as well as Monkeywrench, Gabriel's and Dave's Killer baked goods. A selection of Local beers is on tap as well as local wines in the bottle. Plenty of events keep things interesting like; movie nights, lectures live music, DJs, open mic poetry, performance and the like.
Dim, friendly, authentic British pub with a large selection of beers and liquor--if you prefer, say, a gin and tonic to a Chimay. Food is basic-but-tasty limey fare like bangers and mash, fish and chips, pasties, shepherd's pie, etc. When the weather's nice, this is the perfect spot for patio cavorting, and if it's a game of darts you're looking for, this is the place.
The Spare Room is a classic old Northeast bar with occasional live music and a badass dance floor. A jukebox, pool tables and the ever-present video-poker also exist to entertain experienced bar flies. The crowd is decidedly older but not exclusive as neighborhood hipsters are often spotted there. Lunch specials are incredibly cheap, and if you like a weekend bar breakfast, head here for a bloody and a meal smothered in gravy.
Mess up your shag, slap on your favorite poly pants and polish your ironic sunglasses. Get ready to smoke and dance your ultra-skinny ass off in Portland's hippest dark hallway of a dance club. And, No they don't have a sign. If you can't find the place, then you're just not cool enough.
