Re: “Pine State Biscuits

PSB is an over-hyped bad joke. One of us ordered a Moneyball (B&G topped with an egg), the other a biscuit with mushroom gravy, side of hash browns. When the food arrived, the hash browns were ice cold, the B&G lukewarm at best. The only thing hot was the egg on the Moneyball. Were the hash browns ready way ahead of everything else? No excuse for that, since everything is prepared to order: which means they are doing a bad job on getting your order ready. Or maybe the food got cold quickly because it was only about 55 degrees in the restaurant. Also, be aware that there are only 3 small tables and about 5 counter seats. A relaxed breakfast experience this is not. A sign on each table asks you to bus your own table and leave as soon as you are finished--which we would have done anyway. About the same time our food arrived, the place filled up. We "enjoyed" our breakfast with people crowded around us (one guy in particular kept hanging his butt right over my plate), many of whom were holding their plates and wanting to sit down and eat. We felt compelled to wolf it down--also to try to get the gravy in us while it was still lukewarm--and dash. Last, I don't see how one biscuit, with veggie gravy, from a self-serve counter for 5 bucks can be considered cheap. I think if their food were served hot it could be delicious, but until they expand into a larger space and get their act together, we will NEVER be back.
