Just had an inspired radicchio and winter squash salad and really great mussels. Wrangled a taste of buttery beef. Yum. The complexity and attention to detail was exceptional. Dinner for two along with wine- $45! You can keep The 9's downtown, I will stick to my neighborhood.
While lighting may have been a problem during the live show, I find these photos to be excellent. If this professional photographer was able to get such good quality shots in low light I would hire them again in a flash. Perhaps the low light was a compromise to capture the projections? Always difficult.
A journalist would have stayed to see the whole movie and then reported accordingly. I am concerned the Mercury has low standards for their journalists especially when it comes to arts and culture reporting. My interest in their popularity contests that pose as journalism has dwindled. They are my cheap wine of papers- I will open it only if it has a good cover.
Artists hold the mirror to it's community. The work of IFCC intends that the mirror begins to more accurately reflect our diverse population. Thanks for bringing attention to the IFCC- numerous diverse artists, performers, and children will hopefully continue to benefit from the historic support of the IFCC and our City.
Wow. I remember really liking that book. The Chosen seems to beg for a re read- cant wait to see how PCS will handle the adaptation. Seems provocative. Should make for good drama.
I was just there this am- if this is ghetto sign me up! Huge windows, lots of storage, walk-in closets and such and the finishings are really great. Much more attractive and better quality then nearby new condos. I was impressed. The views are urban but super cool. I was impressed that they commissioned artwork from local artists that celebrates neighborhood stories. I may have a bias they as they are my new neighbor. I am so glad they are here.
