Isn't it true what they say? "Siners make the best Saints." And with that in mind, Saint Cupcake must have a special spot in Hell reserved for them.
The baked goods that this shop produces absolutely must be tasted if they are to be both believed and appreciated. While most are tempted to say "but it's just a cupcake," the most natural response is "JUST a cupcake?" My friend, these are far more than little mini cakes. These are edible works of art. The cake is never dry or gummy, it's always perfectly moist. They hold together enough to move around, but completely dissolve when you eat them. The taste is smooth and even and you don't get those random pockets of intense flavor like in some other cupcakes... Yup, Hostess, I'm lookin' right at you. Even Saint Cupcake's day-olds are fresher than your fresh. So deal with it.
Saint Cupcake's frosting is just as decadent. My girlfriend and I putter around the kitchen and we're tried to duplicate it, but to no effect. Frankly, we think that this frosting is actually delivered to Saint Cupcake's by a chorus of angels. Sure, it's lofty praise, but we REALLY do love sugar.
All in all, this is a fantastic place that has a well-deserved reputation. Do take the time to stop by someday and sample these bite-sized chunks of delight.
I am what I am
