Re: “Saints & Sinners Mardi Gras Ball

I've been all 4 years and the mardi gras ball is always a great time. Plenty of dancing to great bands playing cajun/zydeco, the costumes are amazing - people really go all out! If you miss New Orelans or miss Mardi Gras this is as good as it gets in Portland!

Re: “My Least Favorite Piece of Misogyny This Week: Damsels & Dragons Edition

Thanks for the article! I hate that crap too. And good for your for standing up for yourself, and tackling the subject with humour.

Re: “"Seth MacFarlane and the Oscars’ Hostile, Ugly, Sexist Night"

It was more than one song. It was an endless evening of flat not-even-frat-boy-funny digs including several Jewish jokes, a Nazi, that awful Ted bear thing, digs at actresses not eating to fit into their dresses, digs at actresses working as strippers, and on and on. It was just mean-spirited across the board. Why watch? To see Barbara Striesand, Adele, and holy crap Dame Shirley Bassey! Billy Crystal is a decent oscar host. Steve Martin is, also. Johnny Carson was always good.

Re: “KBOO is an Emerald Jewel in the Very Tiara of Cascadia

Aw! It's just a pre-social media shout out! KBOO has great public affairs shows in the AM, DJ Anjali/Incredible Kid on Tuesday nights, and a teriffic Native American show (http://kboo.fm/TillicumWawa) on Thursdays. It's a grab bag, but there are nifty shows.

Re: “I’m Sorry

You need help. And you need help right now. This is going to sound counter intuitive but call SARC or Portland Women's Crisis Line 505-235-5333 right now. They will have resources for you. You have to stop what you are doing. It's no joke, it's not "harmless".

Re: “Say Hello to the New Feminist Group in Town

Wow actually Feminist Agenda has been a great resource for getting the word out about Womenstrength free self defense classes for women in the Portland Metro Area.
