Queral says its only a matter of time before Portland approves fluoridation? That its not a lost cause? Bwahahahahaaa! Are you kidding me? This is the FOURTH time Portlanders have voted this down. And now by 20% when being outspent 3 to 1? I like this sentiment: Lets not be the last major city to fluoridate, lets be the first major city to figure out dental access for all kids. Lets start coming together over the issue of dental care for kids, and how about leave the fluoride fight out of the picture for at least another 10 to 20 years... Remember, as long as "Keep Portland Weird" is a major theme, fluoridated water has no chance. Want fluoride? Get box stores, kick all artists out of town, make this place just like Phoenix or Tampa.
Well, I guess this means we won't have to spank the fluoride lovin' minority again for another 20 years or so. When you lose by 20% (or more) you just have to give it a rest for a decade or two. That's about as much of a beat down as you can get at the polls, especially when you outspend the other side 3 to 1.
whoever posted this I, Anonymous needs spanked. I remember my friends stepdad correcting our grammar when we were about 8 years old. And even then, we knew he was an asswipe for thinking grammar correction was good "parenting". Grammar police are about at fun as hemorrhoids.
Narcissism is so awesome.
The main problem with those 'weird-ass flavored' ice cream joints, though? THE LINE AROUND THE FUCKING BLOCK! Seriously though. People in this city will wait half hour, or more, for some overpriced ice cream, some overpriced brunch, or some mediocre donuts. I don't give a damn if the ice cream has balsamic vinegar in it.... waiting in line THAT LONG is plain stupid.
weak sauce. Someone held a door for you and you are so jilted you have to scribe a complaint. I'll just chalk this one up to "white people problems" I guess.
I don't care what "the science" says. I simply believe the government should not be in the business of mandatory medication in the water supply. Not on my dime, thanks. Chems to make water SAFE for consumption? Ok. Medication? Nope, not into it. Why do so many pro-fluoridation folks hate freedom? ;)
