they can use oyster sauce, sliced garlic, mushrooms, cheese, spices and spring onions, or throw some seafood in the dish for a seafood scramble. i agree some restaurants just need to wake up or listen to customer feedback. u know tofu tastes exactly like the ingredients used to season it. salt n' pepper just won't cut it
If you love Korean food then this is the place to satisfy your craving for BBQ done right (korean style). The side dishes are awesome and the portion size will fill anyone up. The seafood pancake, bim bim bap and japchae (excuse my spelling) are top quality.
They handle reservations with ease.
Re: “Pok Pok”
hmmm... I have mixed feelings about this place partly because I've dined with friends from Thailand.
This place has a large selection and the taste is average.
cons: the house setting? doesn't work for me. our party was crammed up against the corner.
second, the food was appetizer size. Is there a shortage somewhere? I know the price of rice was gone up but come on. You serve dinner, get on the same level and up the portion a bit. Did you charge for rice too? big mistake, what a shame... the challenges of cost cutting and overpriced food.
I might stop by again but highly unlikely. There's a huge Thai food community in Portland and this is just one of them. doesn't stand out much in my book.
