i can't believe people are suggesting anything other than Point Break. "Utah!! Gimme two."
Can we put an end to "House of Pane?" Last year we could humor it (at best). This year, it's time to stop. Please.
Not sure how you guys missed the Blasters at Dantes. I actually went to see the Swingin Utters, since I wasn't too familiar with the Blasters, but I knew they'd at least be good. Wow was I off. It ended up being one of the best live shows I've ever seen. A bit like seeing Johnny Cash had he never gotten famous (and he was four people). Really an amazing show.
I'd actually guess the Arrivals would have someone from D4 since Paddy's played with them before. But I could easily be wrong since I don't pretend to keep up on anything anymore... hopefully i'll stay awake long enough to find out.
>>no one on earth prefers Tarkio to the Decemberists.
>Who on earth likes the Decemberists?
Hey, Ezra didn't say anything about *liking* the Decemberists.
dude, he has my exact same visual studio color scheme. and i hand-picked those colors. that's nuts (to me, at least).
i work with another Braid developer, and Jonathan Blow's written some great columns, so this is now looking extremely interesting to me. thanks for spotlighting this.
Now I agree Goldthwaite had a good game, but he was also the one mainly responsible for the game-tying goal in the 5th minute of injury time.
His shoddy clearance that kept the ball in play is practically inexcusable and is fully reflective of our inability to play out the *entire* game. We become vulnerable in the last 5 minutes almost on cue. We need to play smart until the ref blows the whistle, and in this game we certainly didn't. Our gaping defense was practically asking for an early midfield cross. And when it actually happened, a sprinting Goldthwaite could only manage a shit, inbounds clearance (that thing should have been in the stands). We put the 3 points out there for the taking. And take away they did.
Luckily this is our first mls season, so it's a bit easier to look on losses as mistakes to learn from, but man it ain't easy to watch us give it away as often as we do.
