I, SoSalem, authored the review above. On further consideration I want to up the rating to 5 stars.
Further, the tags are wrong. Venti's is a restaurant with a very comfortable basement bar. The cuisine is international or American casual; Japanese rice bowls and wraps, Thai curries, Moroccan pita and bowl, Greek salad. I have been a patron for more than 6 years. Venti has never been a coffee house or tea house
Venti's Cafe moved into a much larger space in July 2008. The menu has expanded and upscaled. Their basement bar, opened in Jan 2009, significantly improves the Salem's nightlife. Eight taps for craft beer and, occasionally cider. The taplist is twittered. Venti's serves good, tasty, interesting food. Savory rice bowls are the bedrock of the menu and there are lots of other choices: veg, wraps, Soba, salad, etc. Lunch or dinner or a craft beer, Venti's is my 1st choice in downtown Salem.
