I wouldn't miss this exciting opportunity for the world. I love the performing artists. The way they tell their stories with songs and poetry. Come hang out with me, have a drink (or too) and enjoy the performance.
Here's an event that you can come to and bring as many people as you'd like. The meeting is free to the public. Details are listed below:
Radical Women Mobilizing Meeting
The Feminist Stake in Fighting the Right
Saturday, April 24th, 1:00 pm
Monthly organizing meeting will include a roundtable discussion on the national upsurge of rightwing activity and recently passed legislation that targets immigrants in Arizona and abortion rights in Nebraska. Why do feminists need to play an important role in organizing against multi-issue extremism? Bring your ideas on what is needed to defend all working people against ultra-conservatives.
There will also be updates on upcoming actions including Take Back the Night to recognize Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and the May Day march and rally. Find out how you can get involved.
A light meal, with vegan option, will be available at 1:00 pm for a $5-8 donation. Call in advance for childcare, work exchange, or additional information. Meetings are free, open to all genders and held at: Bread and Roses Center, 819 N. Killingsworth St., Portland, OR (on bus lines #4 and #72).
