JEW's version is well-produced. Their guitars are perfectly tuned. They play every note correctly. It's clean, safe, sober and sounds very good. Which is exactly why GBV's messed up, dirty, beer-soaked version is so much better.
Yet another critic that doesn't get this one basic premise: someone not liking something, does not make it bad. In that way, they are still a reliable coolness barometer, but opposite from the way that they intend.
