Re: “Florida Judge Calls Health Care Reform Unconstitutional

I'm not a lawyer but I play one when I'm bored at work.

It seems to me that this ruling would also apply to car insurance. We've had to buy that for years, presumably for the benefit of society because they only make you get liability insurance (just guarantees that someone else will get paid).

These guys saying it is unconstitutional to require the purchase of commercial insurance either haven't taken into account the precedent of required auto insurance or they argue that a person doesn't have to own a car so they are free to avoid the car insurance requirement if they want to. The later argument being what we in the pretend legal field call "a crock of shit".

Re: “The Most Awesome Football Play Ever (Middle-School Edition)

Don't think that this would be a false start or illegal motion. The NCAA rules exclude the QB moving their hands only in the case of "chucking", which is purposefully faking the snap. Case in point, shotgun formation qb looks to the sideline or at a WR and is gesticulating with his hands when ball is snapped. It's ruled a fumble not a false start and it's not illegal motion in this case because the QB wasn't moving towards the lines of scrimmage. Bending over to talk to your lineman doesn't apply there and that looked like what he was doing. Again, he's not faking the start of the play. It may be bush league but it's a legal play and damn funny one too.

Re: “Review: Fallout: New Vegas

Sorry lilqtogirl but you're wrong. I've played them all, even tactics. New Vegas is better than 3, though pretty much the same game (say yes to hardcore mode). All this "glimmer of it's former self" talk rings hollow as you complain about the bugs. If you had actually played the first two games you would have suffered through endless glitches, no auto save and kiting geckos for 30mins in the early parts of the game. PWNED Joo!

Re: “Geek Out

I went with the NCAA game as I normally do cause I'm more of a college fan but have always enjoyed the Madden series, just have a hard time dropping another 60 to have two football games. Wish EA had a bundle option for the two games. I'll prolly have to miss out on Madden again as Reach and New Vegas are taking priority over a second football game which is a shame because Madden always seems to have the new play style.

Re: “Activists Take Others' Judgment Into Own Hands

This ad typifies what the Stewart/Colbert protests are all about. Everyone, both sides, just need to calm the fuck down. You're not helping anyone with your talk over the top of each other rhetoric.

Re: “Gran Turismo 5 Creator Wastes More Money, Sony Maintains Brave Smile

GT was a great game series but I have to say I lost all interest in it after GT3. Leading for an entire race that takes roughly 45 mins to complete, only to get snaked at the end or blow a hair pin turn and then having to repeat said race drove me nuts. Took way too much time and quite frankly there are too many games out there. I appreciate a challenge but Forza just does it so much better with the ability to adjust tire wear and what not, plus the rewind feature saves a lot of aggravation. Seems to me the GT series began to cater way to hard to the fan boys that only play GT while leaving the rest of their fan base behind.
