I don't know, Jim. Fans of professional sports franchises in Portland have never shown a penchant for clever chanting before...
@DemonDog The team hasn't given official word on Smith, and his name wasn't among Timbers on the MLS re-entry draft list (Palmer, Purdy and Wallace—all of whom had their options declined—though as I mention above, Wallace is reportedly re-negotiating a deal).

But based on Smith and Merritt Paulson's tweets (the latter of which included Smith's name in the list of let-go players), it appears Smith has played his last match for Portland.
@Sped: Not sure about that one, but I assume so (if you've ever seen a traveling soccer team waiting at an airport gate, you know dressing alike starts at an early age). I can tell you the Timbers all have rather dapper matching tailored suits they dress into after each home match.
True, Brononymous, Levesque is certainly in the running, and he may overtake Keller by the time he hangs 'em up. But I tend to give the slight edge to KK after I heard this little murder-fantasy ditty atQwest this season: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhzklZPqGZY
Bah! Good catch, Kalif. Correction made — add yet another assist to your tally.
I like it, Todd. Consider it shamelessly stolen.
Re: “POLL: Should Timbers Army Have Cheered Troy Perkins?”
@sgp: Your use of "profligate" makes me think you have a swell vocabulary. MAYBE WE'RE BOTH RIGHT (/bold).
