This was hands down one of the worst presentations at TBA and in film in general. It is true; I have participated in 3-way video chat with my girlfriends- while drunk- and have felt so shocked at how base we can be to each other. However, if a group of so-called artists were to highlight this portion of our culture by doing exactly that, I would have expected more intelligence (rather than sheer stupidity the entire time), more forethought, less mockery, so much more. The presentation overall was a mockery of women. I felt that it was ageist in presentation and presented a small subset of white, middle-class, young people culture. How much more racist can a bunch of artists get than to force an audience- young, old, and multi-cultural (as multi-cultural as Portland can get)- suffer through what they think is funny. Deliberately priviledged bitches. That's who they are. If I were Hollywood Theatre I'd retract my name from any associations with Future Cinema. That was a mockery of art.
