THICK has excellent sausage. It was amazing. I can't help but feel this will be one of those "here today, gone tomorrow" type of food carts though. :-(
I hope you at least got to buy some gasoline at the Oak Grove Fred Meyer (whoa that's far out for the Merc).
IK, maybe carry $0.50 in your pocket to hand to someone that "needs to use your phone" next time you're on the MAX. I know entirely what you mean about saying 'no,' but still feeling a little awful about it. At least $0.50 would get a phone call at the nearest MAX platform payphone.
Instead of Happy Valley, it could've just as easily been "Vancouver," "Wood Village on a speedy run out I-84," "Beaverton" (now home to a neighborhood market) etc. I get both sides of the argument here.
