The comment above is right on... Portland goes as far east as 190th Avenue!

While east Portland has been neglected for may years, it is becoming Portland's best kept secret and the new frontier. The Gateway Regional Center is finally starting to re-energize and is in the process of becoming one of five major new Eco Districts. The Gateway Green biking venue http://gatewaygreenpdx.org is going to be awesome.

Right now you can get a nice mid-century house on a quarter-acre lot full of Doug firs for less than 200K... but not for long!

Hanoi Kitchen is awesome and just one part of a really cool multi-cultural vibe happening in East Portland.
