The happy hour here is FANTASTIC. I went with a friend a few weeks ago and we got 4 delicious mixed drinks, 2 sliders, 2 salads, popcorn and oven fries for $30. I've also gone during 'bar hours' (10 pm on a Friday) and I've received attentive service every time I've gone. It's far more laid back and tasty than its gentri-licious exterior would imply.
Andy Mesa, Incubus was the one with the VR helmet. it's not super-obviously titled... i had a hard time remembering as well.
I don't remember Beyond Gay screening, however.
Fo sho. Yet again, it looks like mr. big government is putting his finger in the pie-hole of an innocent cocaine import/export/distribution point.
I will say, though, that it makes their slogan "To the tooter" make WAY more sense.
Worst review ever, Ernie.
I'd read the original story a couple of days ago and thought it was a pretty sad domestic violence story. The author of this 'Idaho's Portugal' story attempted to make it sound like a quirky incident. Reading the original news story, I thought that the mug shot looked less like a hipster than a psychotic domestic abuser. Interesting that he's now reframed by the author with the less derogatory term of hipster.
Ohh crapmonkeys. I've already been promised a custom Paloma Soledad corset from my better half... I'd better get on that before she *really* blows up!
Took a tour of the Portland Building back in college as part of a Postmodernism course... the prof introduced the building as spectacularly miserable architecture and mentioned increased HR reports of depression from its workers.
It's a real shame about Selick leaving Laika. I'd heard less than positive things about the animation studio from a lot of people associated with it... but it seems like Laika/HOUSE (their commercial/advertising arm) is still doing well, thankfully. Of course, processing and filming commercials for candy & car companies is very different than a major motion film...
Good afternoon, friends!
