Re: “In Which I Foster Discussion And Make Hippies Cry

"in which I foster discussion..." blah blah. You're not really fostering any discussion. You're just baiting people into typing in all caps. Boring. I guess it's easier than actually writing reviews though. Now get to work you lazy turd!

Re: “Can You Hear Us Now?

it's true, there were nearly 2 million tea party protesters in DC on Sept 12. In an unrelated story, on that very same day DC area restaurants recorded the lowest tips for wait staff in 150 years!

Re: “There is Nothing Offensive About This Cartoon

Old Man Spencer, I'm going to let you in on something that's kinda shitty. So I want you to brace yourself. Okay? So here goes, you see, some people don't like Black People for no other reason than they're being Black. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true- it's called "racism". You should count yourself very luck that you haven't heard of it until now, because it's pretty common, and it's very ugly. Well anyway, these same people that Have these "racist" beliefs sometimes call Black People monkeys. They say this because they believe that Black People are stupid/less evolved versions of White people. I guess I could explain the racial significance of suggesting that a monkey, or rather a chimpanzee had been shot for proposing the recent stimulus bill that was in fact proposed by the first Black American President, but I figure that would be patronizing.

Re: “What's Next? A Tax On Being Happy?

Matt Davis, what is your take on this? As the Merc's resident homeless advocate, I imagine you might have a few ideas floating around regarding this issue.

Re: “Beau Breedlove's "To Catch a Predator" Interview

real classy lordylordy! Calling this kid dumb. I guess you could also say he brought this on himself by dressing like such a slut. Hmmm that sounds kinda familiar?
