How many times must it be repeated before you understand?
The parking spots converted to bike corrals were free parking spots. That means you did not have to pay money to park your car in them. That means there is no lost revenue. That means there is no tax needed to "make up the difference". That means $3,000 - $5,000 per year still rolling into city coffers from all the metered parking spots in the city that are not the ones being discussed in this post.

While it may not be wise to admit this, Morrissey at the Greek Amphitheater in Berkeley ("Kill Uncle" tour, 1991) was my first-big-live-rock-show experience.
My entire life unfolded predictably, from that point.

99% of the time stop signs are there for a reason & should be obeyed.
But Ladd's Addition, seriously?
A one way traffic circle with clear visibility well before entering the intersection should have yield signs.
I broke the law & have no beef with getting busted but a stop sign just doesn't seem necessary there.
