Don't be scared away by the bad reviews from earlier. The NE UG has switched owners and is back on track. In fact, it now has the same folks from the UG in the Pearl, as it should be (it was always confusing to have two places called The Urban Grind, but with different owners). The previous owners of this branch were weird Christians who scared a bunch of customers away--and they had cheesy arts & crafts shit everywhere too.
This place has a lot to offer now. It's huge, has an area for kids to play, has great wi-fi and is spacious and comfortable enough to work in, and has really great coffee and some good treats.
They also have a cool stage and are open to having shows there.
Maybe they sold all these special tix out, because it don't work now.
