Maybe it is so cold outside she had to change her baby's diaper. But you know... a lot of people have no class or was educated with class. It could be worse. Did the diaper smell really bad? I think the grossest thing I've ever witness in the MAX is a guy clipping his toe nail, his nails were flying all over. I was so shock that I just smiled with everyone else.

I take the max everyday 'cause its faster than the bus from nw 23rd to Hillsboro.
And the max is not any less glamorous as the bus.
I've seen old man clipping his toe nails to ADD children blocking the autistic man trying to exit the train.

I think its really encouraging to see that Portland is the number one major city in the states with most bicycle commuters. Though I agree that education can only promote this healthy lifestyle. Where I work, I think only 2 of us out of 100 bikes to work. That's really sad, but I do work in hillsboro and commuting from nobhill isn't easy. I have to bike 1m to pge station and commute 30 minutes to orenco station, then bike another 2m to the studio. I enjoy the commute even in rain. The two biggest problems for me are the non-frequent trains during rush hour, and there is never enough bicycle racks in the max for all the cyclists. Please, add more bicycle racks in the max! I am doing my part to show my coworkers that bicycling to work is healthy and safe. So please, add more trains during rush hour would be awesome. I hate missing the train and have to wait another 15-20 minutes for one... its ridiculous.

I'll have to agree with the anonymous poster as well. If you have a laptop, use it to get a job. Email some craigslist opening, this is America, there are jobs everywhere. May be a crappy job, but it is still a job that pays. Too many people take what they have for granted.

What about women who don't have kids? Are you saying men don't have child issues? I'm pretty sure my dad took time off to take care of us just as much my mom did. There should never be unequal pay for anyone under any circumstances.
