So I waited one and a half years for ICE to approve my wife's application for permanent residence but because immigrants illegally crossed the border they should be able to skip the process and use other peoples identities without prejudice?
My favorite argument is when someone says they no nothing about their county, such as Mexico in this article. More often then not the person who crossed the border illegally had no idea about the USA.
What a great marketing coup. Not only are they an advertiser, they are also a story. Sounds like main stream media. The best part is that there banner ad is right above the story.
Well we are in the same Forbes list for worse places to find a job. http://www.forbes.com/2010/11/18/best-wors…
What is worse is I have to, no choice, do business with the state and thus support the candidates that the union chooses. The state is required to collect donations thru payroll deductions. I don't vote for any of the two named, one party candidates, just find it funny how the Merc is always trying to paint one side as more bad.
"it's worth noting that a 2009 study from the Inavero Institute found 89 percent of cyclists
also own cars."
Could the same be said about motorcycles? So is this a reason to stop charging registration fees for motorcycles?
How to solve the immigration problem.
1) E Verify
2) Charge all employers found employing persons illegally with adding and abetting and revoke their license to operate.
3) Fix the H1B visa system that creates indentured servitude by not allowing immigrants to work for whichever employer they chose.
4) Fix USCIS. There is no reason to wait 2 years for immigration proceedings. There is no reason why a clear answer of where a case stands can be given.
5) If you are here illegally, return to your country and apply for proper documents.
If I could wait over a year and a half to be reunited with my wife after we had been together for 2 years overseas thank to USCIS foot dragging, they can make the hard decision to return to their home country.
So I was interested in how much these musicians make, but really how much the president made. Here is a bit of what I found.
"Fife pointed out that the symphony's musicians are underpaid compared to similar orchestras (their average salary is around $45,000)." "The agreed cut in pay is actually a shortening of the season for musicians, from 41 to 38 weeks." Not a bad salary, might rank up there with a teachers salary. http://blog.oregonlive.com/portlandarts/20…
So in 2008 Elaine Calder had a salary of $193,173, or 1.33% of expenses. This site rates the charity as a 46 out of 100. http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?…
