So I saw a screening this weekend in Seattle. Is it the same set of movies, or is it a more PDX-focused set?
Congrats, Jason! You got people involved in the political process! Maybe a whole 50 or 60 of them! And what a fine example you give of "involvement": wasting time being a public scold of an adult man for saying "fuck."
Awesome! I can't wait to see how well this city runs when all the crabby political newbies you "got involved" are out there speaking about the important issues of the day. Maybe someone jaywalked. Or was brusk talking to an old lady. Think of the myriad bullshit possibilities!
So he "proudly stumps" that he voted for a 12-lane CRC and now wants to reduce the size of it until there are no tolls? Who did he think was going to pay up when he voted for it?
Smart man, that Leavitt.
So what you're saying is that, to the modern conservative, "voicing your opinion" is screaming meaningless crap over and over loud enough to drown out the adults (on both sides) trying to have a real conversation?
Well don't I feel silly for thinking the crying baby on my last flight was a tantrum-throwing asshole. Turns out she's probably was "voicing her opinion" about something she read on The Corner.
And what is their twitter?
I unknowingly had the opportunity to dine and dash at an IHOP outside of St. Louis in the middle of the night after a show. The waitress clearly hated her job, and as I remember even talked about the Steak 'n Shake (or maybe it was Denny's) nearby that she was hoping to switch to.
Food took forever and sucked as much as you'd expect at an IHOP. When it was over, we walked up to the front with the check, waited another five minutes for her to show up, and were greeted with "Oh, you're going to pay?" And for some reason, we did.
My head's still here, but I'm pretty sure my heart shrank three sizes.
Planning my vacations for the next 2 years.
