I love Crema. Everybody has mentioned their pastries and their coffee. But I go for the Turkey & Brie Panini. Probably one of the best sandwiches in town. Get it with the side of olives and one of their house chai's or a Vietnamese Iced Espresso and you are in heaven.
Also, their ciabatta rolls make awesome buns for grilled chicken sandwiches at home!

I work at elsa+sam and we have been conducting an in-store survey like this as well. I feel that it is alright. The artist that makes the Choc-O-Bamas is a chocolate sculptor, it's the medium in which he works, he approached it not with race in mind but rather an attempt to honor this great man. If you don't like it for whatever reason, don't buy it.
By the way, these are DELICIOUS! Really great chocolate used here.
Neal Stephenson's Anathem is simply awesome. I wish more people would read it so that when I say things like "Oh shit, she planed your ass!" I am understood.
Patrick Alan Coleman misunderstands what umami is and slanderously misrepresents it. I have no doubt that there was a strong umami presents in the pork dish that he described, but he was tasting something different. Umami is not "somewhere between bitter and salty on the back of the tongue," as he puts it, but rather a savory/hearty/meaty flavor that favorably compliments the other four flavors. Not to mention that it is a flavor experienced equally over the entire tongue. I take umbrage in his declaration of umami as "almost uncomfortable." Scurrilous ignorance. Umami is one of the most wonderful, enjoyable sensations available to a gastronome. I recommend the author visits www.umamiinfo.com and checks out some of their wonderful recipes.
