Re: “Council Holds Long Talk on Police Body Cameras—But Won't Vote to Seek Bids Until January

You make it sound like January 7th is so far away. Nothing is happening at my company until after the holidays.

Re: “LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

@Red Diamond - That kind of 'peak demand' bottleneck is EXACTLY what Uber would fix. I don't agree that I can get a cab within 10 minutes, most times, but Uber drivers go on and off the clock with demand. Taxi drivers are a permanent, dedicated fleet, and that can't scale with rapid demand shifts. Uber can.

Re: “White Lung at the Doug Fir, Wed Dec 3

Looks like it was an awesome show. I didn't go only because it was at the Doug Fir - the staff there are cartoonishly rude, every time I go.

Re: “Good Morning, News!

Oh - and on a grand jury, the jurors don't hear from the defense, right? These people only heard the prosecutors trying to make a case against the officer, and still voted not to go to trial, even without hearing ANY counter arguments. How can that keep happening?

Re: “Good Morning, News!

I hope they release the details of the grand jury hearings. Its bad enough when specific judges, lawyers, or police fail and do something evil - but I can't understand how so many panels of randomly-selected citizens keep voting not to go to trial. The article says that this grand jury was about 50% white, 25% black and 25% hispanic.
