I wuz just a half a sapien, till P-town and the Merkur wholed me.
stuck in some sort space-time fissure
Glad to see the Mercury giving this band some props.
MRU combines all the ingredients essential for a band worth seeing: funk, prog, excellent covers, psychedelia, very tight timing, and therefore very danceable music.
Funky beats, excellent musicianship, and a progressive sensibility is the holy grail of pop music. MRU's kind of music makes one realize that most bands. even talented ones, don't cut it, at least at the nightclub.
No shoe-gazing for this homeboy.
Homie doesn't buy unnatural fibers stitched by globalized slaves. I'd rather spend top-dollar for sustainable garments made by decently treated employees.
If you buy slave-made petroleum crap, then you are part of the problem. Fuck capitalism.
P-town fashion tip o' the day: Wearing clothes sporting labels from mega-corporations
makes one look like a square. At least remove the labels.
"Ownership" society, particularly one which worships land ownership, is a master/slave society. Land ownership is unethical, especially when capitalists use property rights as an excuse to force people to live like unwanted dogs. "Homelessness" doesn't exists, but
societies like America do have souls that are not at home.
Look areound you at all the empty land - land "owned" by either the government or by some absentee capitalist - and ask yourself why somebody might feel forced to sleep in a gutter or wherever.
The American paradigm is a degenerate lie. Everybody deserves the basics of survival.
If you don't blelieve that, what do you believe in?
Silly me. I though I could compose my artistic prose, click on preview, logon, then watch my comment get posted. But no, the web droid delisted my litery input. When I went to compose my note again, I was dashed, because my muse was lost. Anyway, I love ABBA, their stunning songwriting and two-part girl harmonies. Not only is Agnetha Hot, her voice is hotter.
Memo to Beatles: Girls make the band.
I luv Abba. Agnetha breeaks my heart. The two-girls and a harmony shtick really works with this crew. The songwrighting is on par with the best bubblegum Beatles. Abba are my beatles, and their vid collection is effing obligatory.
I once had an orange Beavers foam football boosted off my Aerostar's antenna. I still hurt, since the ornament had added small touch o' kitschy class to my otherwise déclassé cargo van.
Hey. Wow. Yeah. Good to see the drum circle listed again.
Only one dolla. In dese depressionistic times, ya gotta snap up a
good bargain. Buy low, drum high.
Num num nummi num. Vegans rule!!!
