Along those lines - the number of abortions performed in the US went down when Bill Clinton was president. The number increased when George W. Bush was president. Why? The economy. When people feel financially secure, have access to health care, are afraid of losing their homes, etc. They are more likely to carry a pregnancy to term - even if it is unplanned.
Well, Dave, at this point we dump a lot of energy that is generated by wind at night. There is no place to store it and not enough people are using power in the middle of the night. In the next ten years (maybe sooner) we will begin to see a smart grid system that will allow us to use that energy to charge cars at night. At this point, even without a smart grid if there was more draw at night (from cars or other things) we would use power that is not being used. I highly recommend you read the report "Bright Futures" which can be found here: http://www.lightintheriver.org/reports/bri…
That location is not the newest and they are NOT handing out free bagels. The newest location is at SW 4th and Taylor and they ARE handing out free bagels tomorrow. I called to confirm this at both locations.
NW Lovejoy and 23rd = you pay for your bagel.
SW 4th and Taylor = free bagel
I can't believe that you posted a Barney video without warning. I feel so violated.
We had some of the best pie in town at Random Order.
For me it is all about him doing his job and Portland having a functioning council. He did not show up for council today - this is making me more and more upset with him. Get your butt in there and do your job or resign.
I can't believe I am actually typing this but here is goes. I really respect Dan Saltzman and his position on this. The grieving is my response too. It is not about the sex or the lie or Adams is gay. It is about a new council and mayor who seemed on a path to get things done is now off that path. That is what makes me upset.
Celebrating japanese new year.
