The sandwiches look great but I cannot for the life of me find their location on the website.
When the big one hits we won't have 20 minutes to fill the water bob and we may not be able to access out hot water heaters. I have enough water for four people and two dogs to last around two weeks in my garage. I also have water filtration tablets. I don't mess around - Oregon does not have enough electoral votes to be able to expect a rapid response from Washington DC.
The PPS school that my daughters attend has had a salad bar for over 7 years (possibly longer). It is actually quite popular with the kids - it also has fruit in addition to the more traditional salad items. It surprises me that there are schools that still don't have one.
Last year they started serving water out of jugs with spigots. Again it works well with the exception of kids often overfilling and spilling the water.
I guess I never realized how good my girls had it.
I love Sunday Parkways and have participated in at least one each year. I also use my bike for everyday transportation a lot. With that said, Sunday Parkways is an awesome, big party. I really wonder how many people ride in Sunday Parkways to never ride again. I hate to say it but in tough budget times it is hard to support throwing parties when we can maintain safe streets and sidewalks which promote a lot of fitness.
It would be great if more private businesses who benefit from the potential revenue streams would step up. Kaiser does. Keen, Nike, Adidas, REI, Trek, etc could step up and pay for a larger portion of this event.
Another option is our really wonderful community bank Albina Community Bank. They do a lot of really great things in the community. I have had account with them for around 17 years and don't know that I have ever paid them a dime in fees. Of course, I don't overdraft or bounce checks but an credit union will charge you for that too.
@ Stu - even if it was rape, Wu will not be going to jail. These cases are very hard to prosecute even with physical evidence and I think it is safe to assume that there is none at this point.
Given Wu's long history and more recent "episodes", he cannot perform his duties adequately. He is at best a joke inside the Capitol. More likely the other members of Congress will avoid working with him. Without collaboration, he can get nothing done.
He should step down.
@Stu - Wu has a long history of charges like this being cast against him. Am I the only one that remembers the story from Wu's college days that surfaced around 6 years ago? It was another he said/ she said tale of either sex gone bad or rape. Wu admitted that there was an issue when he was in college but it was a misunderstanding and nothing like that could or would ever happen again.
Wu has a history of not treating women well. I don't care what his mental health issues are - if they cause him to hurt other people then he should not serve in Congress. They should never be a pass for him to do whatever he wants to other human beings.
