Re: “Fonda Rosa

I initially liked Fonda Rosa very much, but after a few visits I feel like they've given up. First impression - the menus are worn, dirty with old food, and have items crossed off in pen (which have been like that for a LONG time). Spend a few dollars and have them reprinted. It seems like the bulk of patrons are friends of the owner, and the wait staff switches between hanging out with buddies and waiting tables. You feel like you've interrupted a clique. Prices are mid-range for Mexican restaurants, but is of similar quality as order-at-the-counter places like Cha Cha Cha or Baja Fresh. There are far better choices in the $11-18 entree range (e.g Autentica in NE)
