Not your typical dance show. It's a story you can follow, but one that will still surprise. Love the film combinations. So fun to watch.

This was a very visually unique experience to watch. Lane Hunter Dance never disappoints with music choices, choreography and creativity. I loved the live camera shots that interacted with the dancers and the shower scene was mind blowing! Definitely a must see if you are in the Portland area.

Where can I tell the world...and more specifically Portland Theater Goers that they can't miss Dead Funny!!! The mix of "humour" and deception, doubts and comedy, human drama and aloofness took me by surprise and for the all duration of the show I forgot the gloomy economy, the rain coming upon us and the scary Sarah Paulin. Third Rail actors are incredible...and even a bit magical I believe. They master their art in such a way that you never remember you are actually seeing a play. Without you noticing, they teletransport you in the middle of a British living room, suddenly spying on the intimacy of a 30-something English couple and it all feels natural.
Yes wonderful actors but everything else also fits in this play: the sounds, the lights, the stage set up. No doubt the sign of a great Artistic Direction. Congratulations to Third Rail for their first show (and what a show) in their new place!
A REAL MUST SEE!!
Frederique

Thank fsm that somebody put this company together. For every questionable choice (not casting Ben Vereen, for example), TPA made about 100 right ones. In the end, the show doesn't hang together, and it never has: the music's way harder than it sounds, and the the narrative...well, is there one?

Doesn't matter: the whole night's worth it for the scena between Pippin (earnest, cute) and Catherine (even cuter, funny, and nice pipes) and a dozen or so people busting their asses for you like it's the Shubert theater.

It feels like something's happening for real. Just go and see it; you want musical theater in Portland as much as I do.
