I fully enjoyed the show, and to the people who were let down by Shane, I must say, what did you expect? Did you not see the documentary, "If I Should Fall From Grace With God"? Of course he was going to come out in a total-fucking-wreck-state. Did you stay for the end of the show? He came back out and actually killed it on "Sick Bed of cuchulainn", "Fiesta", and if I remember correctly, "Body of an American". He still was slurring every word, but he was understandable and everyone was singing along, and isn't that the point? Everyone in the crowd was jumping and singing and having fun. That is the point of a Pogues show in this day and age. And don't forget "Thousands are Sailing" Which was sung by Phillip Chevron who wrote the song and is currently suffering through cancer treatment. And he did an excellent job of singing his own beautiful song even though he will probably die soon.

This is my fourth Pogues show. I will pay to see them again and again. The boys were superb. Shane wasn't, but, to not be prepared for that is naive. I truly wish his addiction could be addressed, but I know how difficult that can be.
Spider, James and the rest, thanks so much for visiting us. Please come again. You fellas rock, are outstanding musicians and seem to be &%$@ people, too. I'm so glad that I didn't have to fly to San Francisco, San Diego and the like. I danced, then, took public transportation home with my lovely wife.
Please, please visit our city again. The joint was jumpin'!

I though it was a great show and we had a great time. Well worth the money. I don't know what kind of problem the other people to write reviews have. Of course Shane was drunk. I would have been disappointed if he wasn't. They had a great set-list and it was everything I expected and wanted. POGUES ARE WONDERFUL LIVE!!!!!!!!

      I'm more sad than angry.
The band did appear to be very ashamed, standing there, playing the songs, not moving, not really into it, they seemed to be ashamed that they were there. When Shane was led off the stage so a song could be done without him, they played well, but when shane was there it was pittiful. He appeared so drunk that he was unable to speak. The volume wasn't such that words were lost, there were just no words coming out of his head. He staggered around the stage, mostly making noises that sorta went with the songs, but the band would miss, he would miss, some members ending stongs before others. sad. We walked out mid song. I wish I would have seen them back in the day.

...and they stole $100 (2 tickets) from us. If I could have figured out who to demand my money back, I would have. Likely from the person that gave them all the liquor (I heard from an employee about how much they requested, and presumably got, before the show, criminal)

Shane McGowan is a sack of crap.
I have lived, loved, and listened to the Pogues for 20 years now and have always heard of the notorious live shows when Shane was booed off the stage, or didn't show up at all.
Tonight, i paid $58 (after tix master charge) to watch this guy get led onto stage like he was fucking ray charles and then MASSACRE every song that we pogues fans hold dear to us. Sure, he wrote them, but he should NOT be singing them anymore...
the whole fucking band should be ASHAMED of themselves for dragging this WORTHLESS CORPSE of a rock star around with them to drum up more suckers like me.
FUCK YOU POGUES for stealing my hard earned money, I feel sorry for all the other people who wasted theirs tonight too.
