Not sure what that cheesy website had to do with yr post, but..

I agree with the basic premise about the Arcade Fire---they're indie--and you have to give them credit for sticking with Merge since they could have signed with just about any major label. They definitely make big anthemic music that has a tendency to be pretty hackneyed in the wrong hands, but there's so much more going on in their music which sets it apart. They totally deserve to get as wide an audience as possible. And I don't even like them that much! But they're a good band, and the way they've handled their career is pretty inspiring, really, considering the fame-grubbing and money-whoring shit that goes on in the music business.

I feel like with anything trending Arcade Fire is in the cross-hairs of the music industry's scope and could get over used and thrown away, quickly. I love this band and would hate to see it. But Indie is becoming widely accepted and it is a very slippery slope now for any indie band.
Alva, over and out!

This is the album that will define my generation. This isn't about the night clubs or pithy romances, this album is about the world we lived in. To call it a master piece wouldn't even be the right place to start. All I can do is thank them.
